Hello, I’m Suzy!
I’m a certified postpartum doula, breastfeeding counselor and the proud mom of two wonderful grown children who have great careers and are thriving.
I want to make your life easier so you can take it all in and adjust slowly to the new rhythm of life. I want to help you feel capable and self-confident to have this miracle of bringing a child into the world. Since I had two children, I know how valuable it is to have a professional coach around to make the first few weeks memorable.

“PEOPLE WILL FORGET WHAT YOU SAID, PEOPLE WILL FORGET WHAT YOU DID, BUT PEOPLE WILL NEVER FORGET THE WAY YOU MADE THEM FEEL.”

My passion working with new families was “born” after retiring from a fashion career in NYC. I wanted to do something to help women as a second career and it occurred to me as I was reflecting on my birth experience, how much I admired the role that my postpartum doula played in mothering me at the time of childbirth. I didn’t have family where I gave birth in Canada, and I hadn’t any prior baby exposure. I owe my postpartum success to my doula Etta.

In other words, doula means from mother– to- mother. Having been through the cycle of birth myself and having had a doula for my first child, I know just how profound this role can be. It is about focusing on the new family and tuning into their specific needs and helping them thrive. I have a knack for knowing what’s needed in the moment and adding to that I am a happy, empathetic, and energetic person who wants to help others succeed.
I received my postpartum doula certification training from the International Doula Institute (I.D.I). I continued my education and received a CBC (Certificate Breastfeeding Counselor.) I am a Healthcare Provider CPR and AED certified.
I have an ongoing commitment to continued education in the field of maternal and infant care and I am currently studying herbal remedies. I also like to bake lactation cookies and other goodies as well as preparing organic herbal sitz bath products. If you need a little massage I’m happy to do that for you as well.

In my free time I like to:
Volunteer with the Housing UP organization working and tutoring school age children. Additionally, I worked with The Rock and Roll for Children’s Foundation which raises funds for The Children’s Inn at N.I.H to help seriously ill children.
“Support is a crucial piece of your recovery. That’s where I come in to assist and help everyone adjust to this wondrous time in your lives.”
